- Clicking on "Pop Up" the first time will display a pop-up window that will stay open until you close it.
- Close the window and click on "Pop-up" again and no window will be displayed, no matter how many times you click on "Pop Up"
- Click on one of links at the bottom of this page. Return to this page and the pop-up will not open again.
- Clicking on "Reset" will allow you to reset cookie and have a pop-up the first time you click on "Pop-up" again (same as closing your browser).
- Clicking on "In Back" will open the window in the back of the main browser.
- Clicking on "Display cookie" will display the information in the cookie. If the cookie has been reset, then there will be no information displayed.
For this Demo, don't forget that you must
(1) close the Pop-up window and
(2) click on the "Reset" button
to get a Pop-up to display when you click on either the "Pop-up" or "In Back" button.
Additional Information About Script:
This pop-up script will display a pop-up window one time and will not display it again until your browser is shut down. Therefore, the pop-up will only display one time when someone visits your site.
The cookie used here is only available in your computer's memory. It is not written to your hard drive. That is the reason it goes away when someone shuts down their browser.
Most people will use this script to open a pop-up window when someone either enters a page or leaves the page. Instructions for doing that are included below.

This Script is a modified version of the Pop-up Windows Script. Therefore, the procedures for controlling the location of the Pop-up Window are the same. Click here to view a demo and get instructions. Note that these procedure are not necessary to make the script work and can be ignored if your aren't interested in controlling the location of the Pop-up Window.
